This privacy policy explains what information Audiolistic ("the app") collects, why, and how it's handled. Audiolistic is a local music player: your music library stays on your device. The information below only applies to the optional account, cloud sync, and advertising features described here.
If you sign in with Google, the app collects:
This is used solely to identify your account for cloud sync and Premium subscription status. You are never required to sign in — all playback and library features work fully without an account.
If you are a Premium subscriber and choose to use cloud sync, the app stores your playlists, favorites, and app settings in our cloud database (Google Firebase / Firestore) so they can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices. This data is only stored if you are signed in and subscribed to Premium; it is not collected for free users.
Free users see ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and other information to show and measure ads, and may share this with Google for that purpose. This does not apply to Premium subscribers — Premium removes ads entirely, and Premium subscribers who watch a rewarded ad to activate a free trial only generate a single ad-view event without any additional profile data collected by the app itself.
To help us find and fix bugs, Audiolistic automatically collects crash and error reports through Google Firebase Crashlytics. This includes:
This applies to all users, including those who have never signed in. It does not include your music library contents, playlists, or any personally identifying information beyond what's listed above.
Audiolistic does not access or collect:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google account email, display name, UID | Identify your account for sign-in and Premium status |
| Playlists, favorites, settings (Premium only) | Cloud backup so your library organization survives a device change |
| Advertising identifier (free users only) | Show and measure ads through Google AdMob |
| Crash reports, device model/manufacturer, Android version, app version | Diagnose and fix app crashes and errors (Google Firebase Crashlytics) |
No other third parties receive your information. Audiolistic does not sell any user data.
Account and cloud-synced data is retained until you delete your account or request deletion (see below). Advertising data is handled according to Google AdMob's own data retention practices. Crash and diagnostic reports are retained according to Google Firebase's own data retention practices.
You can delete your account and all associated cloud-synced data directly in the app: go to Profile > Delete Account and confirm. This permanently removes your account and Firestore data (playlists, favorites, and settings) immediately; it does not affect your local music library.
If you're unable to use the in-app option, you can instead email apps.listic@gmail.com with the Google account email you signed in with, and the deletion will be processed manually.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Storage / media | To read the music files you choose to add to your library |
| Notifications | To show playback controls in the notification shade |
| Bluetooth | To support headset button controls and audio routing to Bluetooth devices |
| Internet | For optional sign-in, cloud sync (Premium), and ads (free users) |
